Restylane® in Baltimore, MD

Hyaluronic acid is the secret to younger skin. As you age, your body produces less of this key substance. Fortunately for the men and women of Baltimore, MD, and surrounding communities,

they can restore their levels of hyaluronic acid with Restylane® treatments from double board certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon Dr. Steven J. Rottman.

What Is Restylane®?

Restylane® works by restoring a natural moisturizer in the body called hyaluronic acid that helps give the skin a youthful fullness. These products add volume to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including lines at the corners of the mouth, lipstick lines, marionette lines, and laugh lines or smile lines, which are technically known as nasolabial folds (lines running from the nose to the corners of the mouth).

Benefits of Restylane® Treatment

Restylane® works best for wrinkles and folds that arise from the mid to deep dermal layer of the skin. The Restylane® treatment benefits of smoother lines and folds may continue for up to 18 months.

How Is Restylane® Treatment Performed?

Restylane® contains hyaluronic acid that fills in lines and wrinkles. A fine gauge needle is used for the treatment. If you are uncomfortable with needles or injections, please ask that Dr. Rottman apply a topical numbing agent.

Proper correction with Restylane® requires multiple injections at different locations where you have lines and wrinkles. Dr. Rottman may inject the product into a specific wrinkle at multiple points as well.

Is Restylane® Treatment Right for Me?

Restylane® is an effective treatment for lines and creases on the face. Dr. Rottman may also recommend Restylane® to enhance your lips, chin, and cheek area. Restylane® is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding or pregnant. People with certain medical conditions, including skin infections, or who are taking certain medications should not seek treatment with Restylane®.

Preparing for Restylane® Treatment

Restylane® treatments are quick and convenient, so no special preparation is needed. The treatments take little time, usually 30 to 60 minutes. The appointments fit well into your normal schedule, and you can resume your day after the treatment.

Recovery from Restylane® Treatment

Restylane® is a minimally invasive treatment, meaning that only a needle injection is needed. As a result, there is no downtime. You may have some minor symptoms associated with the injections. After three days, you see improvements in your skin, and the results last up to six months.

How Much Does Restylane® Treatment Cost?

The cost of your Restylane® treatment depends on the amount of product needed, as well as the number of treatments for full correction. We accept cash, personal checks, credit cards, and CareCredit® as payment. To learn more, please visit our financing page.
