Restore a youthful, rejuvenated look to your body after pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding with a customized Maryland mommy makeover surgical plan. Dr. Rottman can help bring your pre-baby body back.
If you want to correct pregnancy-related issues such as stretch marks, excess skin, extra weight, and generalized sagging of the breasts and body, you can trust Dr. Steven J. Rottman, a double board-certified, fellowship trained plastic surgeon. Dr. Rottman specializes in helping women restore the firmer, tighter, youthful look they had prior to having children.
The joys of motherhood and the incredible transformative experience of having and raising children is one of the joys of life. Sadly, the reality of weakened and separated abdominal muscles, drooping breasts, flaps of excess stomach skin and other unsightly effects can be devastating to your self-esteem and self-confidence in how you look.
Many women today take the step to get their bodies back with our mommy makeover in Baltimore. Dr. Rottman is known for his ability to perform a combination of body contouring procedures designed to restore a woman’s body to her pre-pregnancy firmness, and restore a youthful sexiness.
Diet and exercise alone are frequently unable to restore the firm tightness of your pre-pregnancy body.
If your goal is to recapture the sexy, svelte curves you had before you had children, a mommy makeover by Dr. Rottman can be the ideal solution. This is a comprehensive plastic surgery treatment that is customized to address all your post-baby body issues. The procedure typically combines an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), liposuction and breast restoration, whether a breast lift, breast augmentation, or both.
Being self-conscious about your body often reduces your quality of life, and can have a negative effect on you and your family. It is important you are comfortable with the appearance of your body, and our Maryland mommy makeover can restore the contours and curves and increase your self-esteem. While the procedure can tighten and slim your abdomen and midsection, and lift and reshape your breasts, it more importantly restores your feelings of self-confidence and overall well-being.
Even if you did not have an ideal body prior to having children, Dr. Rottman can craft a customized surgical plan to help you achieve the body you want in a curve-restoring and slimming mommy makeover.

Many moms regain their appearance and feel wonderful about their bodies with a breast enhancement surgery. There’s no doubt that pregnancy and breastfeeding often destroy the youthful appearance of a woman’s breasts. The increase in size stretches the skin, and once breastfeeding is concluded, the breasts are left looking sad, saggy, and deflated. A mommy makeover often includes a breast enhancement procedure, whether it is a breast augmentation with breast implants, a breast lift, or both.
Your body’s need for extra fat during pregnancy inevitably leads to excess fat that lingers no matter how dedicated you are to diet and exercise. A mommy makeover may include liposuction to remove love handles and excess fat from your midsection. This will give you a flatter, more attractive abdominal profile and a youthful, firm look. This procedure is performed with a hollow needle, called a cannula, which passes beneath the skin to extract stubborn fatty tissue, for the trim, fit look we all desire.
Pregnancy heavily impacts the woman’s abdominal region, and as the tummy grows, the skin and muscles must stretch to accommodate the growing child. Once the baby is born, the mother is often dismayed by the appearance of stretch marks, sagging, and drooping skin. Unfortunately, diet and exercise alone often cannot correct these issues. The abdominal muscles have also been significantly stressed and stretched by the burden of bearing babies and may be weakened, loose, or separated.
A tummy tuck and liposuction procedure are often combined to help restore a tighter, firmer midsection, repairing weakened or separated abdominal muscles and removing excess skin and tissue from the abdominal region. This often reduces the appearance of stretch marks, as they are often located on the skin which is removed during the procedure. In the end, your tummy will achieve a trim, youthful appearance, and you can once again wear tighter, more revealing clothing styles with complete confidence.
The ideal candidates for a mommy makeover are at a stable weight, not breastfeeding, and have finished having children. If you are unhappy with your post-baby body and are in good overall physical and mental health, and a non-smoker, then you are likely a suitable candidate for a transformative mommy makeover performed by leading Baltimore plastic surgeon, Dr. Rottman.
Tailored to your specific needs, the costs of a mommy makeover will vary depending on your requirements. During your consultation we will discuss the various cost of each of the desired cosmetic procedures. To help make mommy makeover treatments affordable and accessible to his patients, Dr. Rottman offers convenient financing through CareCredit® and AlphaeonCredit®. Prior to undergoing a custom mommy makeover, you will be given detailed aftercare instructions for your recovery, including a list of the various items to have close at hand when resting at home, including prescriptions for pain medication and antibiotics. Mommy makeover patients need help in the early stages of healing and should have a friend or family member with them for the first few days.
In most cases, a mommy makeover is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist. You will be required to wear a surgical bra and an abdominal compression garment postoperatively to minimize swelling and to give support as your body heals. You may have drainage tubes to prevent any fluid accumulation near your incision sites for the initial week after surgery. Dr. Rottman’s mommy makeover patients usually return to regular activities after two or three weeks. You may resume exercise at around the six-week mark. You will have follow-up appointments so Dr. Rottman can closely monitor your recovery, and ensure that all is progressing as planned.
