Thigh Lift

The thigh area is prone to developing loose skin and unsightly fat deposits that cannot be remedied through diet and exercise. Men and women who have unattractive thighs often hide them.

But a thigh lift from double board certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon Dr. Steven J. Rottman gives these men and women of Baltimore, MD, and surrounding communities toned, sexy thighs that they are proud to show!

What Is Thigh Lift Surgery?

Thigh lifts are an excellent option for individuals with bothersome extra tissue along the inner and/or outer thighs that does not respond to diet and exercise. A thigh lift is a type of body contouring surgery that reshapes the thighs by removing excess skin and fat to produce a smoother, more toned, and more proportionate appearance.

Benefits of Thigh Lift Surgery

Thigh lift surgery improves the shape and appearance of your thighs by removing loose skin and excess fat to give your thighs a toned and healthy appearance. If you are looking to reduce thigh fat rather than improve skin tone and elasticity, you may benefit from liposuction rather than a thigh lift. In many instances, patients may require a combination of excess skin removal and fat sculpting. In such cases, Dr. Rottman will perform liposuction in conjunction with body contouring.

How Is Thigh Lift Surgery Performed?

Incision patterns will vary based on the areas being treated and the extent of the correction. Through these incisions, Dr. Rottman will tighten tissues for a smoother, better-toned lower body contour. Dr. Rottman utilizes advanced techniques that strategically place incisions in locations that can be hidden by most types of clothing and swimsuits.

Depending on the degree of the procedure, incisions may be more or less extensive. Some patients are able to have a minimal incision medial thigh lift surgery which involves an incision at the groin only.

Preparing for Thigh Lift Surgery

Thigh lift surgery is recommended for patients who have been unsuccessful in toning their thighs through diet and exercise. As such, Dr. Rottman wants to ensure you have exhausted the potential for improving your thighs with these methods. Additionally, your general health is considered prior to recommending thigh lift surgery.

The reason is that certain health conditions, including being overweight and smoking, place you at greater risk during surgery and interfere with the healing process.

Recovery from Thigh Lift Surgery

You will be able to see your new, smoother, tighter thighs almost immediately following the procedure. As the swelling and bruising subside, you will be better able to enjoy your greatly improved thigh contour.

How Much Does Thigh Lift Surgery Cost?

Thigh lift surgery is an individualized procedure, so the cost of your thigh lift will be determined after your consultation with Dr. Rottman. Please visit our financing page to learn about CareCredit®. You can even be approved before your consultation.

Is Thigh Lift Surgery Right for Me?

The best candidates for thigh lift surgery are patients who have lost skin elasticity due to aging or a history of being overweight. Thigh lift surgery is not the way to lose weight, however. Instead, the procedure corrects cosmetic issues caused by stubborn fat deposits and sagging skin.

Why Choose Dr. Steven J. Rottman for Thigh Lift Surgery?

Dr. Rottman’s expertise in thigh lift surgery means that you know what to expect from your thigh lift with the best possible outcome. Additionally, Dr. Rottman’s innovative approach to plastic surgery means he can recommend complementary procedures, such as liposuction, which will further enhance the results of your thigh lift surgery.

What to Expect During Your Thigh Lift Consultation

Because thigh lifts are recommended for patients who have failed to improve their thighs through diet and exercise, Dr. Rottman asks you to explain your current eating and workout habits. The information helps him determine if you can improve your thighs through lifestyle changes instead of surgery.

Plastic surgery of any kind, including a thigh lift, is not a perfect solution, and your expectations need to be realistic. Dr. Rottman believes in giving his patients the direct and honest, professional insight they need to be satisfied with the results of their thigh lift surgeries.

Dr. Steven J. Rottman is a cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery expert who serves the men and women of Baltimore and surrounding areas. Dr. Rottman is recognized for his approach to plastic and reconstructive surgery that gives his patients exceptional natural-looking results.

Because each patient is unique, Dr. Rottman uses both traditional and advanced techniques for his procedures.
