Many people are unhappy with the appearance of their buttocks and feel that enhancing the size and shape would bring a more attractive balance to their figure. If you want to improve your contours, our Brazilian butt lift in Maryland may be the perfect procedure for you.
This procedure involves the harvest of autologous (your own) fat from another area of your body which is then purified and injected into the buttocks to add roundness, lift, and volume. Our Baltimore Brazilian butt lift has the added benefit of slimming areas of the body with excess fat, creating a more alluring body contour.
Deciding to undergo a cosmetic enhancement is a big decision. Achieving a perfect hourglass figure at one time involved extensive plastic surgery. Modern plastic surgery continues to develop, and it is now possible to extract living fat cells and transfer them to the buttocks for the perfect, round bottom, along with a trimmer waist or thighs. The difference in appearance can be truly incredible – and our patients tell us they experience a huge increase in confidence in body image after the procedure.
If you are unhappy with a small, flat, or unbalanced size of your derriere, you may be a candidate for this process.
Likely candidates for the procedure include those with:
Our Brazilian butt lift in Maryland has several steps. The first involves harvesting excess fat from another area of your body, such as the hips, lower back, thighs, and abdomen.
Once the fat is extracted with a state-of-the-art liposuction procedure to protect the cells from damage, they are purified to prepare for the transfer to your buttocks. The fat cells are then grafted to the upper part of the buttocks to improve roundness, lift, and volume. This procedure is most often performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. The transferred fat must then settle into the new location, and flourish. While some of the fat cells do not survive, it is the care with which the fat is extracted and grafted that makes a significant difference in the outcome.
One of the most difficult aspects of recovery from a Brazilian butt lift is not pain, which is readily managed with medication, but the fact that you cannot sit or lie on your buttocks for three to four weeks following the procedure. You will be required to sleep on your side or stomach, and stand for other activities. While this may be a little difficult initially, it is well worth the result.
After your Baltimore butt lift, we carefully monitor the progress of every patient, and once your healing has advanced, we will teach you how to sit without placing undue pressure on the buttocks. Regular, normal sitting is possible after about eight weeks. Plan on two to three weeks off work so you have sufficient time to heal, and your body is ready to sit without harming the new fat cells as they establish themselves in your buttocks.
The amount of time for recovery varies individual. You should be able to return to work in two to three weeks. Exercise can resume after two months.
There will be minor scarring after a butt lift procedure. Initially, the scars will be red but will fade in color over time. Around six months, your scars should be lighter in color and barely noticeable.
Patients should be able to sit comfortably after two weeks. If you have to do any prolonged sitting, a pillow or rolled up towels will help keep you comfortable.
As with most surgeries, there are risks. Complications can include shifting of the butt implants creating an asymmetrical look, infection at the incision site, or an adverse reaction to anesthesia.
People who have an unattractive buttocks may struggle with self-image. Imagine the difference if you could move the excess fat from your love handles, and move it to your buttocks? With our Brazilian butt lift in Baltimore, this is truly possible.
The results of the procedure can be astounding. Patients go from feeling embarrassed about their body shape to feeling empowered and sexy. We are proud to help our patients achieve a positive body image, and assist them on their journey to a happier life.
