Juvederm for Men
An increasing number of men are realizing the benefits of non-surgical cosmetic treatments to achieve a natural, refreshed appearance. Juvederm® is specially formulated to add volume to your skin and reduce lines and wrinkles that make you look and feel older.
Double board certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon Dr. Steven J. Rottman is pleased to offer Juvederm® treatments to men in Baltimore, MD, and surrounding communities.
What Is Juvederm®?
Juvederm® is an injectable dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid, or HA. HA occurs naturally in a man’s skin to help keep the skin free of lines and wrinkles by maintaining volume. As you age, you have less HA available in your body. Without an adequate supply of HA, your skin lacks the underlying support it needs to stay full and youthful. The result is lines and wrinkles, such as those around your mouth. Juvederm® replenishes the HA in your skin to restore volume and “fill in” lines and wrinkles.
Benefits of Juvederm® Treatment
Men appreciate the benefits of Juvederm® because treatments:
- Offer a non-surgical anti-aging solution;
- Give them long-lasting, natural results; and
- Require only short appointments with no downtime.
How Is Juvederm® Treatment Performed?
For the HA in Juvederm® to work, the product must be injected into the deep layers of your skin. The formulation of Juvederm® means that a fine gauge needle is adequate for the treatment. You may experience a slight pinch as the needle is inserted. If you are uncomfortable with the sensation, Dr. Rottman can apply a topical numbing cream before performing the injections. In most cases, multiple injections are needed for best results.
Preparing for Juvederm® Treatment
Juvederm® treatments are quick and easy. You only need to set aside about an hour for your appointment. Other than that, no special preparation is needed!
Recovery from Juvederm® Treatment
You see immediate results after just the first treatment. Over time, the HA in Juvederm® continues to add volume to your skin. The changes are so subtle that you may not be able to pinpoint what is different. After your treatment, you may have swelling, tenderness and bruising around the injection sites, but these symptoms only last 48 to 72 hours.

Juvederm® treatments are tailored to your needs, so we are unable to discuss cost until after your consultation with Dr. Rottman. If you are interested in making affordable, convenient payments for your Juvederm® treatments, please visit our financing page.
