What is Juvederm Ultra?
Juvederm Ultra is an injectable filler from the HA-based Juvederm family. Ultra is a dermal filler with a smooth, even consistency. Ultra is an excellent filler to restore lost volume, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, hydrate the skin, and restore the skin’s youthful elasticity and skin structure. Juvederm Ultra treatments are long-lasting for up to one year. We recommend a maintenance treatment every 12 months, but your results may be renewed more often with less product if desired.

Recovery
There is no downtime after Juvederm Ultra treatments, but you can expect some swelling, and in some cases, bruising, in the injection area. Avoid touching or massaging the area during this period. The swelling and bruising should fade within a couple of days. You can apply an ice pack to reduce inflammation and puffiness. Keep in mind that HA fillers attract water, so there may be extra fullness for a week to ten days.
For the first day or two after your injection, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, or drinking alcohol.
