Botox in Baltimore, MD

Millions of men and women have used Botox® to fight the signs of aging. Now you can have the same anti-aging benefits of this incredible injectable treatment. Double board certified and fellowship-trained plastic surgeon Dr. Steven J. Rottman offers Botox® treatments to the men and women of Baltimore, MD, and surrounding communities.

What Is Botox®?

Botox® is an injectable treatment for dynamic wrinkles and lines caused by the contraction of muscles in your face. The active ingredient in Botox® temporarily paralyzes these muscles. Once the muscles relax, the lines and wrinkles disappear. Botox® treatments take less than one hour.

Benefits of Botox® Treatment

Although the results are visible, a treatment with Botox® will not radically change your facial appearance or make you look as if you’ve “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes frown lines between the brows is temporarily reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

How Is Botox® Treatment Performed?

Dr. Rottman will administer Botox® as a simple, nonsurgical treatment injected directly into the muscles between the brows. It works by blocking nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines to form between the brows.

Preparing for Botox® Treatment

No special preparation is needed for your Botox® treatment. In fact, the treatment is so easy you can do it during your lunch break or while you are running errands.

Recovery from Botox® Treatment

Individual results may vary. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes. Most patients are in and out of the physician’s office without downtime following Botox® treatment.

You will see results within days of a marked improvement in the moderate-to-severe frown lines between your brows. Your appearance will continue to improve for up to 30 days, and results can last for up to 4 months. Individual results may vary.

How Much Does Botox® Treatment Cost?

Your Botox® treatment is based on your personal cosmetic needs. Each patient requires multiple injections into specific muscles. Therefore, the cost varies. Botox® is an elective cosmetic treatment, so it is not covered by your medical insurance. If you would like assistance with your Botox® treatments, we offer financing through CareCredit®.

Is Botox® Treatment Right for Me?

Botox® is a prescription medicine used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in people 18 to 65 years of age on a temporary basis. Dr. Rottman may recommend Botox® to correct

  • Lines that extend from the nose to the corners of the mouth,
  • Lines between the eyebrows, or
  • Creases on the forehead.

Why Choose Dr. Steven J. Rottman for Botox® Treatment?

Botox® treatments work wonders when they are performed by a skilled and qualified plastic surgeon. Unfortunately, the popularity of these treatments means that many unqualified people are performing the injections. Although temporary, the injections can have less than ideal results if they are not administered correctly. As a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Rottman gives you the peace of mind and confidence you need for your Botox® treatments.
