Chin Augmentation Surgery
Chin augmentation helps provide balance and symmetry to your face, helping improve appearance and self-confidence. Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure that is designed to reshape the chin, resulting in a more attractive contour and a chin that is in better proportion to other facial features.
During the chin augmentation procedure, an incision is made and a pocket created in front of the jaw bone and under the muscles An implant is then inserted. The incisions are sutured and a dressing is applied. Depending on the technique and implant that is used, the procedure can last anywhere from 45 minutes to one-and-a-half hours.
The healing process varies for each patient. After surgery, you can expect to experience some bruising and swelling, but discomfort is usually minor. You will be able to see a noticeable difference in the shape of your chin soon after your surgery, and as the swelling and bruising subside, your new look will become even more apparent.
